Meaty’ business

  1. How do you manage to deliver meat so fresh?

  • The quality of fresh meat rapidly deteriorates as the temperature rises above 4oC. According to the WHO food safety manual, fresh meat tends to decompose and microorganisms multiply very quickly at temperatures between 5o to 60oC, which can be dangerous for consumption. To avoid this, we maintain the meat at a safe temperature (between 0-4oC) through our cold chain technology. Keeping it this way helps it stay fresh. We also use special insulated and water absorbent packaging that helps the meat retain its freshness till it reaches your kitchen.

  1. Where do you get your meat from?

  • We partner with local farm and fishing communities to bring you the freshest meat. They adhere to our stringent operating procedures to ensure hygienic, tasty and tender meat.

  1. Is your meat frozen?

  • Never. Our meat is chilled to ensure freshness but never frozen. And no, they are not the same. When meat is frozen, it changes in texture and taste. We want to bring you the freshest meat, which is juicy and succulent. We chill and maintain the meat at a safe temperature (between 0-4oC) and never allow it to dip below 0oC.

  1. What about this pad that comes in the package?

  • Meat naturally releases water post cutting. The specially designed gel pad absorbs this water and converts it to crystals, thus ensuring hygienic, neatly packed meat.

  1. Do you have free-range chicken/ country chicken?

  • Yes, we sell premium free-range chicken, also known as country chicken. Free-range chicken, as the term suggests, is when the chicken can roam about freely in its natural habitat with adequate space and is fed a wholesome diet, absolutely free from antibiotics and other growth-promoting chemicals. These chicken are very healthy and tasty. We also sell free range goat.

  1. Does your meat contain antibiotics?

  • Absolutely not! We go great lengths to ensure that our chicken and goat do not contain antibiotics. Every batch of chicken and goat procured is checked and certified antibiotic-free before it reaches you. We follow stringent SOPs (standard operating procedures) before we choose a vendor, as well as conduct quality checks with our current vendors to ensure no antibiotics are present in the meat you eat.

  1. Does your seafood contain ammonia?

  • Absolutely not! Most of the seafood available in the market today is loaded with chemicals like ammonia and formalin to increase their shelf life. We’ve built a business around bringing you chemical and preservative free seafood. We get seafood from local fishermen on a daily basis and keep it chilled in RO ice till it reaches the processing unit. We then use a specialized cold chain technology to keep it chilled till it reaches your kitchen, thus eliminating the need to use ammonia.

  1. Is your meat Halal cut?

  • Yes. We are a Halal certified enterprise by Halal India Pvt Ltd. We follow Halal Standards and all our meat products are 100% Halal.

  1. The seafood seems to be more expensive than the wet market. Why?

  • TenderCuts takes great pains to bring you the freshest catch. Our seafood is slightly more expensive than the wet market since we maintain stringent quality standards while we cut, clean and devein it. This ensures that the freshest and most hygienic meat is delivered to your door.

  1. What is the shelf life of TenderCuts meat?

  • We believe in eating fresh and replenish our meat every day! Our fresh meat has a shelf life of a day, while marinades can stay for 3 days.

  1. How do I store TenderCuts meat?

  • Ideally, the meat should be cooked right after delivery. In case you store it, it should be refrigerated (only for a day), not frozen.

  1. Where can we buy your products?

  1. Is there a minimum order?

  • No matter how small your order, we deliver it at your doorstep.

  1. Do you charge for delivery?

  • Delivery is free for all orders above Rs. 399. Orders below Rs. 399 will be charged a nominal fee of Rs. 39.

  1. What are your delivery timings?

  • We deliver all days of the week from 7 am – 8 pm.

  1. What are the areas you deliver to?

  • You can click here to see if we deliver to your location.

  1. What modes of payment do you accept?

  • We have multiple payment options. You can pay for your order through Cash on Delivery, Credit/Debit cards, PayU, Online Wallets like Airtel Money, Freecharge, Oxigen or Net banking.

  1. Do I need to register or create an account before making a purchase?

  • You are free to browse our site, but when we deliver we need to know who you are and where you stay. Therefore, we need you to register before making your purchase.

Customer care

  1. How can I get in touch with customer care?

  • We constantly strive to ensure the best shopping experience for all our customers. Our customer service team is available throughout the week from 7 am to 8 pm and can be reached at +91-9543754375 or cs@tendercuts.in .

  1. Can I add or remove products after placing my order?

  • No. Once your order is placed, modifications cannot be made on the website. Please contact our customer support team for any modification of the order on +91-9543754375.

  1. I haven’t received my order confirmation email.

  • That’s surprising. Your order confirmation email gets sent to the email address linked to your Tendercuts account immediately on placing the order. If you haven’t received it, please check your junk or spam folder. If you still haven’t received it, you may log into your TenderCuts Account and select 'Order History’ to view all your previous orders. If the order you placed does not appear, the order was not successfully confirmed. Please reorder. You can also call us at +91-9543754375 or write to us at cs@tendercuts.in if you’re experiencing any difficulties in placing and / or confirming your order.

  1. Is TenderCuts available across the country?

  • We currently deliver only in Chennai. We hope to expand our services across the country soon.

Online Payment

  1. Is my credit card information safe on your site?

  • Absolutely. We don’t store credit card details on our system. All online payment related transactions are carried out through the secure PayU payment gateway.

  1. I cancelled my order which was made using online payment option (Credit card/Debit card/Net banking). How will I get my money back and when?

  • The account that you used for payment will get credited with the refund amount within 7 working days.

  1. Will I be charged any additional fee for using online payment option?

  • No, we don’t charge any additional fee.

  1. My bank is not listed in the online payment option, how do I pay?

  • You can try paying through your Credit/Debit card, Online Wallets, PayU or through Cash on Delivery.


Scheduled Delivery

       27. What is scheduled delivery ?

  • A the name suggests, you can scheduled the time at which you want your order to be delivered.


       28. What  are the available slots ?

  • Currently we have 5 slots - 3 in the morning and 2 in the evening:
    • Morning slots
      • 7 am   - 9 am
      • 9 am   - 11 am
      • 11 am - 1 pm
    • Evening slots
      • 5 pm - 7 pm
      • 7 pm - 9 pm

       29. When is the last cut-off time for these slots?

  • We have a cut off time for the morning and evening slots, so we will have time to process your fresh meat
    • Cut of time for Morning slots is 11pm of previous day.
    • Cut of time for Evening slots is 11am of the same day.
  • So for example you want your order delivered on Tuesday's Morning slot 9 am - 11 am, then you need place the scheduled order before 11 pm on Monday
  • Similarly if you wanted to place your order on Tuesday's Evening slot 5pm - 7pm, then you need to place the order before 11am on Tuesday (same day)

       30. I need my meat delivered immediately ?

  • Don't worry, we got you covered with express delivery (90 mins)!
