Wallago / Boal / Walagh

Wallago is a delicious freshwater catfish which is savoured for its subtle taste. Rich in proteins, minerals and omega fatty acids, this fish is a great accompaniment to any meal and can be fried to perfection. With very few bones, this is one of the easier fish to consume, and can be eaten as part of a hearty meal with steamed rice and curry. Watch out for the skin when shallow frying, as it can bubble up and burst splattering oil around.
